First Snow of winter 12/11/08

Wow! It snowed good that day! That has been the ONLY day all winter thus far that it has snowed! That was Dec 11th and it probably won't snow again for a long time. It was all gone by the next day. It was great while it lasted though and the kids had a blast! Here is a quick video of the fun!

Holiday fun at opryland

Every year we like to take the girls to opryland hotel to go see the christmas lights and all the beautifull sceneries!! It's becoming like a tradition for us , we usually go the first or second week of december. It's symbolic also for us, because this is the place where Ben propose to me at about the same period (dec 12th). The girls love to watch the water fountain dancing to the sound of the piano music, it's magical!!! The holidays are such a busy time of the year for our family, with baking treats and making homemade gifts and trying to do the winter activities!!! It gets overwelming but we love to see the girls having so much fun, it's all worth it!!!!

Holiday family pictures

This year we had no extra money to go get our professional pictures done,so we decided to play with our own camera! Ben set up the tripod and we tried to be creative with different poses in different part of the house! It was a major nightmare to get the kids to cooperate, we spent at least 1 to 2 hours trying to make them smile and behave! We finally got them to kind of beeing good!!! I think we got some pretty good ones, after working sooooooo hard!!! SO we hope you enjoy viewing them!

Thanksgiving 2008 at Grandmas

We had all the family at Grandma's house. All the cousins were there. It was great! The food was too good and we ate way to much! The tradition is that the kids get one gift before Christmas at Thanksgiving. Usually it is pajamas/nightgowns and a movie. This year was no exception- they got polkadot PJs and Barbie in a Christmas Carole! The girls were so happy. Happy Turkey Day!

Holiday fun

Chloe wanted to roast pumpkin seeds so bad!We had a blast building the gingerbread house together! Everyone pitched in. We didn't do Thanksgiving with the family until Saturday, so we had a private dinner just us and the kids at home on Thursday and cooked a turkey. Happy Holidays!

Chloe's baptism

Chloe was sooooo excited to get baptized! It was a very strong spiritual experience for everyone. Ben's whole family came and Everyone was edified. It reminded me of my baptism years ago. Here are just a couple of pictures of us and our celebration meal afterwards at Macaroni Grill.

Halloween 2008

Just a couple of halloween pictures this year.Nothing fancy,we had 2 witches and a vampire!We went trick or treating with another couple from the ward and their little girl.Our neighborhood is great for treats ,we tried the mall before but it was crappy!

First Day of School

It was so much fun seeing the girls so excited for the first day of school- especially Eden for her first year. They looked darling in their school uniforms(mandatory uniforms in Nashville). Hope you like the pics!

4th of JULY!!

The 4th of July this Year was WOnDERfuL! We went to the square in downtown Franklin(next to Nashville) and participated in all the fun activities, then we went and watched the fireworks at night in Brentwood. God Bless the USA.

Destin Florida July 08

Wow! What a great trip to Florida! We loved the beach, water, and of course Ben was going wild making sand sculptures and boogie boarding! Cat and the girls went crazy collecting sea shells- came home with a bag full for scrapbooking!

This was such a blast! Our kids go crazy for the outdoors. This was a very beautiful campsite and it was fall so the leaves were gorgeous! Good thing we went the first week of Oct. Cuz it got crazy cold the next week! It was perfect weather- just cold enough for the creepy crawlies to hide away but not too cold to bother us. Ben made some good Tennessee cookin' and we laughed by the fire and played games inside the tent.
